I live in Belgium and since 2006 I have specialized in Vespa scooters assembled in Belgium (Misa). In the early sixties belgian Misa scooters (Vespa GS, Vespa VNA, ...) have been exported to Austria. I would like to have contact with anyone who could provide me additional information (vespa types, original pictures, papers, import documents, ...) about this temporarely cooperation between our countries. Perhaps I can help you with the Misa story... Thanks in advance for any reaction.

Misa scooters were brought to Austria by "Orione G. & Spetic & Co" (then the general importer of Vespa scooters - before the infamous "Faber" took over )

Thanks for the information. I have contacted Mr VespaGS in the past. He confirmed me that apart from Vespa GS, also Vespa VNA was imported. But I wonder if Misa exported the Vespa GL with rounded headlamp (VGLA, VGL1, VGLB) to Austria since these models were the main Misa production. They have the logo glued on the legshield as shown above, but "G.L." instead of "G.S."

Apart from "Orione" I think that "Franz Maitz" imported Belgian Vespas too.
The reason to import scooters from Belgium and not Italy has probably to deal with taxes.

So anyone who owns an original Belgian Vespa, please let me know.
